Some Organic Compound and Their Functional Groups
The group present in any organic compound on which the main properties of compound depends is called functional group.
Like in Methyl Alcohol (CH3OH) is made of two group one CH2 and second hydroxyl (OH) group, but the main properties of Methyl Alcohol depend on Hydroxyl Group, so the Functional group of Methyl Alcohol is -OH Group.
